Exceptional founders and teams think differently.
Emergent is built to amplify it.
The AI driven, fifth industrial age has arrived. Businesses can now assimilate, organise, recall and leverage data using AI but success is still about innovation and purpose, that is still for humans. For entrepreneurs, the question is: do you and your business understand your difference well enough to leverage it?
Strategy, advisory and value creation that builds companies.
A consulting practice for the 5th industrial age. I provide highly experienced, practical, and skilled support to founders, entrepreneurs and businesses that need help to make the best of what is in front of them. That may be supporting the leaders to understand how to balance their team, codify their offer, understand their unique skills or build resilience in the face of adversity. It may be working with teams to distill the existing strategy or develop a new, ‘real’ strategy that is more than ‘do it better’ than the competition.
Emergent Services sits deliberately in the gap between the two.
It brings together years of successful entrepreneurship and creativity in business, rigorous psychometric tools for individuals and teams with advisory and depth coaching and a keen commercial eye — held by someone who has built and led real organisations and knows what’s at stake commercially. Depth that helps people thrive. Practical experience and fast thinking that keeps it real.
The name is the intent. Emergent — because the point isn’t to fix you or your team against some standard model. It’s to help your unique business find its form.
01
Entrepreneurs and leaders who do not fully understand how to leverage their gifts.
From the outside you look fluent. Inside, you’re burning energy on tasks that do not play to your strengths and working far harder than anyone sees. You need practical support in putting the right people and technology around you that enables the business to thrive so you can do what you are good at.
02
Leaders, teams and businesses with a unique value proposition.
You know you have something special to offer and have all the components of a class leading business. You need someone to understand you and the business who can stand back and help you codify your offer or your product into a strategy and a repeatable sales engine so the concept becomes a reality.
03
For businesses that need an injection of different.
Some established businesses are up and running but struggle with differentiation. That may be in positioning, strategy or execution. You need a consultant that thinks differently to be exposed to all that you are doing and help you find a new and novel way forward to supercharge what you are creating.
I work with a small number of clients at any one time deliberately. The model is simple: I bring tools, creativity, humanity, commercial nouse and an honest perspective to wherever you’re stuck. You bring the knowledge of your business and sector and the willingness to look at it clearly.
Most of what I do starts with a foundational piece of work: a Lumina Spark personal or Lumina Team profile which gives you the map of yourself and your business.
We can then work on strategy, values, operating model or commercials and then evolve into whatever the business actually needs. Some clients want a bi-weekly or monthly rhythm. Others call when something comes up. Both work.

I grew up thinking differently without knowing why. Professionally I started as a salesperson, in London and then Johannesburg and consistently outperformed my colleagues. I learnt that I could communicate ideas, develop trusted relationships, read a room and close. I had the condo and the sports car in Jo’burg and no meaning to my work beyond making money. At 25, looking out over Alexandra Township, I chose to return to the UK and retrain as a nurse (yes the CEO was surprised). Because what I was doing lacked meaning and depth.
Fifteen years in emergency medicine and on international air ambulances, I learnt something that no MBA could teach: how to stay calm in chaos, how to make decisions with imperfect information, and how to care genuinely about the people in front of you. I loved it.
When I moved into health tech, I combined all I had learned commercially in sales, and as a clinician in critical environments and applied them creatively in business. I was employee number four in a company that became the world’s largest personal health record. I learned what it means to scale in a value driven company with great mentors. I started my own consultancy working with early stage tech companies that showed promise, then founded my own professional services business because I saw a gap in the market that needed a fix, and because I wanted to build a company that made a difference.
I have been fortunate to have many wonderful experiences in a variety of industries and met many wonderful people on my journey. One thing I know for sure is that I have changed what I thought I knew about building something.
As I exited my first business I trained formally as a coach, consolidating the 5 years I had spent mentoring and coaching entrepreneurs and creatives through the European Institute of Technology and CEP programmes. Sitting with what I had achieved and contemplating what I still wanted to achieve was the most formative year of my career. I was finally assessed for dyslexia and understood my differences in detail, sitting in the 99th centile with the qualities that had supported my success and a new understanding of my working memory deficits that made formal education so hard.
Now I work with founders and businesses at turning points, not to help them avoid the hard parts, but to make sure the hard parts don’t happen to them by accident and to ensure they make the best of what they are working on. Emergent Services is the culmination of all that I have learned to date and I believe that it delivers true value to leaders, founders and teams.
Lyndon came to me with a rare and immediate understanding of exactly where I was, in life and in business. He didn't just listen; he truly heard me. My dreams and aspirations, the things I hadn't fully articulated even to myself, he grasped them quickly and held them seriously. What followed was a business plan so precisely right that I was completely blown away. Not a generic framework — something that genuinely fitted my vision. I've worked with advisors before. None of them got to the heart of it this quickly or this clearly. Lyndon is simply outstanding.
Founder, Complex Multi £bn Bidding Pro Svcs and AI
I had the opportunity to work with Lyndon through his coaching, and I can confidently say it was a transformative experience. He brings a rare combination of deep insight, strategic clarity, and grounded presence to his work. Lyndon doesn't offer surface-level advice, he gets to the heart of challenges and helps uncover the real work that needs to be done, both personally and professionally.
Head of International Trade, AIG
As a startup founder, my sessions with Lyndon have been an invaluable space. He creates a warm and empathic dynamic where all thoughts and dilemmas are welcome. I left with more clarity on my goals and, crucially, how to tackle the obstacles in my way.
Founder, Behavioural Tech
His insight and quick mind have greatly supported my professional growth and helped me make the best decisions for myself. He brings together the wisdom of his business experience with the Psychosynthesis approach, offering a truly holistic perspective that resonates deeply.
Broadcast Journalist & National News Presenter
Lyndon was always the gold standard of relationship management with senior stakeholders. Never one to shy away from the difficult question, balancing professionalism with humanity, which showed in how many colleagues viewed him as a close friend.
